Trentham Falls

Trentham Falls is one of the longest single drop waterfalls in Victoria, plunging some 32 metres over basalt columns. The Falls Reserve protects one of the best remnants of original vegetation in the area, with stands of manna gum, messmate, stringybark and narrow-leaved peppermint. The reserve is ideal for picnics or barbecues, with picnic tables, fireplaces and toilets provided for visitors

Garden of St Erth

The Garden of St Erth in the small nearby town of Blackwood is nestled between the Wombat State Forest and the Lerderderg State Park. Its run by Australia's biggest gardening club - the Diggers Club with 3000 varieties of plants Stroll through the gorgeous and inspirational gardens, stock up on rare heirloom plants then head to the café for a cuppa with scones or indulge in a leisurely lunch. The garden is absolutely delightful, enchanting, uplifting and serene.

Domino Trail Walking Track

The Domino Trail is an easy 8km walk following the old railway line from the Trentham heritage listed railway station (no longer in use) into the Wombat Forest to Lyonville. Many walk the trail to have lunch at Lyonville’s Radio Springs Hotel

Trentham Golf Club

Lush playing surfaces, including the best greens in the region, are flanked by mature native trees, while the topography presents enough variation to offer a superb mix of holes.

The Wombat State Forest and Lerderderg State Park

The 75,000-hectare Wombat State Forest lies to the South of the town, and offers many activities including camping, bushwalking, mountain-bike riding, horse riding, four-wheel-driving and trailbike riding. The rugged Lerderderg Gorge runs North-South through the forest area, and there are many walking trails, including the heritage trail along the Lerderderg River and the Domino Trail between Trentham and Lyonville.
